About: Helder Fraga is a full Researcher at the Agronomy Department of the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD, Portugal), as well as a member of the Centre for the Research and Technology of Agro-Environmental and Biological Sciences (CITAB). He has also been teaching several classes in this University, from the courses of Agronomy and Oenology, where he has supervised several master and PhD students. He is also a partner at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT, Germany). His current work focuses on the effects of climate and climate change on several relevant crops in the Mediterranean basin, particularly on viticulture and olive trees. He has collaborated in over 15 research projects funded by both national and European funds. He is the Principal Investigator of a FCT funded project. He is the author of over 50 JCR-indexed papers (h-index: 30), 1 book editor, 2 book chapters, over 80 publications/proceedings in scientific meetings and invited speaker in several scientific/technical seminars. He is part of the editorial team of the journal Agronomy and the journal IVES Technical Reviews.

About: Oiliam Carlos Stolarski is a Forest Engineer from the Federal Technological University of Paraná (UTFPR). He is currently a master's student in Agronomic Engineering at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD), member of the Centre for the Research and Technology of Agro-Environmental and Biological Sciences (CITAB) and researcher in the project CoaClimateRisk, with emphasis on studies of climate change on grassland ecosystems in the Côa region

About: João Carlos Andrade Santos is Professor at the Physics Department of the UTAD. Academic degrees: Habilitation in Physics in 2012. PhD in Climatology/Meteorology at the University of Lisbon in 2005 and Graduation in Geophysical Sciences/Meteorology at the University of Lisbon in 1995. Area of expertise: Atmospheric Sciences, Climatology, Climate Change and its impacts, mostly in agroforestry systems and viticulture in particular. Current R&D Centre: CITAB – Centre for the Research and Technology of Agro-Environmental and Biological Sciences. Other relevant activities: Member of several national and international projects, including the coordination of a European H2020 project (Clim4Vitis). Coordinator of the CITAB group “Integrated monitoring of climate and environmental impacts: adaptation and mitigation strategies”. About: Aureliano C. Malheiro is currently Professor at the Department of Agronomy – School of Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences of the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD) and Full Member of the Centre for the Research and Technology of Agro-Environmental and Biological Sciences (CITAB) of the UTAD. Academic degrees: PhD in Agricultural Sciences at the Cranfield University, UK; MSc and Graduation in Agricultural Engineering at UTAD. Area of research: Agrometeorology, Climate and its impacts on agriculture, Crop Water management, Viticulture and Environmental Sciences. He has been a member of research (national or international) projects, author/co-author of international peer-reviewed papers (JCR/ISI), scientific supervisor of post-graduate students and reviewer for several international journals. He is presently the Vice-Director of the PhD in Agriculture and Forestry Sciences at UTAD.

About: José Manuel Moutinho Pereira was graduated in Agricultural Sciences in 1987 and received his PhD degree in grapevine physiology from UTAD in 2000. Actually, as Assistant Professor with Habilitation in Plant Physiology at UTAD, and as a full member of CITAB, has focused his scientific activity on the study of the impact of biotic/abiotic stresses on Mediterranean crops. The fundamental concern has been the research of environmentally friendly and easy-to-implement measures. With this propose, he integrated the team of several competitive projects, is author/co-author of several papers in national and international peer-review journals and supervised several PhD and MSc students.

About: Doctorate in Agricultural and Forestry Sciences by the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro, my research interests are related with agronomy, horticulture and agricultural biology and histology in a perspective of adaptation/mitigation cultural strategies in the context of climate change scenarios. I research the impact of biotic and abiotic stress on plant physiology, particularly on Mediterranean crops, such as grapevine and olive tree. The aim of the research is to increase yield, quality and sustainability of these crops. For these goals, I work in field instrumentation for monitoring the photosynthetic behavior, plant water relations, growth analysis and in the laboratory doing biochemistry as well as metabolomic and oxidative stress analysis.

About: Antonio Graça is Head of Research and Development at Sogrape Vinhos SA. He holds a MSc. degree in Oenology from UTAD (Vila Real) university and assists in the training of young professionals by lecturing for courses and master classes in several universities around the world. In 2009, he cofounded PORVID - Portuguese Association for Grapevine Diversity (Lisboa), being in its Board of Directors since. He acts as Secretary with the Sustainable Development and Climate Change expert group of the OIV - International Organization for Vine and Wine (Paris). Since 2020, he sits in the Executive Committee of the Oenoviti International (Bordeaux) network. He assisted CEEV - Comité des Entreprises Européennes de Vin (Brussels) in the creation of the first European research agenda for the wine industry, published as position paper in 2016. He serves as expert by technical commissions of FEV – Spanish Wine Federation (Madrid), ACIBEV – Association of Wines and Spirits of Portugal (Lisboa) and AEVP – Association of Port Wine Companies (Vila Nova de Gaia). He also sits as tasting judge for high-profile international wine competitions such as the International Wine Challenge (London) and Mundus Vini (Neustadt a. d. Weinstraße). Antonio has published several scientific works and is currently focusing on genetic resources conservation, climate change adaptation, resilience and precision management of production systems.

About: Natacha Fontes is a Biologist with a PhD in Biological Sciences - University of Minho, Portugal and University Bordeaux Segalen, France; with over 10 years’ experience in both Academy and Wine Business. Passionate about wine, connoisseur of wine industry, with national and international scientific background. Working as R&D manager at SOGRAPE since 2011, the year she has finished a post-graduation in oenology (UC - Escola Sup. Biotecnologia, Porto, Portugal), Natacha is responsible for the planning and management of R&D projects aiming at providing support for innovation of products, processes, marketing, and organization. Since 2017 assists the EASME with the evaluation of the proposal(s) submitted in response of the H2020-SMEInst as an Independent Expert. Recently, Natacha integrated an International Jury of Wine experts at Mundus Vini, and the Board of ADVID, a congregating unit, promoting the cooperation and networking of companies and other stakeholders related to the development of the sector.

About: Marco Moriondo is a senior resercher at Institute of BioEconomy of the National Research Council of Italy. He is involved as crop modeller in many European projects specifically devoted to the study of climate change impact on food producing system, the implementation of adaptation stategies, and their relevance for mitigating CO2 emission from agriculture. Recent research activities deal with the evaluation of the impact of extreme events on the yields of the main cereals, the possible consequences of climate change on vine and olive cultivation areas on a European scale, and the qualitative variations of viticultural productions in response to higher temperatures.
